Application Support Manager – Digital Wallet Delivery

About the role

The client, a FinTech company operating in Cameroon, seeks an Application Support Manager to own end‑to‑end production support for its Enterprise Wallet Platform. This is a 5‑month contract role focused on ensuring system availability, incident management, and seamless 24/7 operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day production support across application, middleware, and integration layers.
• Drive SLA compliance, incident handling, and structured root‑cause analysis (RCA).
• Monitor application performance and transaction success rates, detecting trends to prevent customer‑impacting events.
• Coordinate platform patches, upgrades, and releases with vendors.
• Lead business continuity and disaster‑recovery testing.
• Coach and lead a team of support engineers, manage vendor SLAs, and represent the team in Change Advisory Boards.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of total IT experience, with at least 3 years in Mobile Money, Digital Wallets, or FinTech.
• Proven experience managing third‑party vendors and leading incident response in a 24/7 environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• ITIL Foundation desirable; PMP or PRINCE2 a plus.
