Assistant Manager Finance

About the role

The Assistant Manager Finance supports financial planning, accounting, reporting, compliance and internal controls while acting as the primary SAP finance user. The role ensures accurate transaction processing, timely reporting and effective financial management across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Record all financial transactions in SAP and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and local regulations.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities, reconcile general ledger and balance‑sheet accounts, and monitor accruals, provisions and pre‑payments.
• Manage SAP FI/CO master data, ensure proper integration with MM, SD and Treasury modules, and support SAP upgrades, testing and process improvements.
• Develop SAP reports and dashboards to enhance financial visibility.
• Assist in annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and variance analysis, providing insights to management.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoice processing, payment approvals and collection of outstanding balances.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, tax regulations and statutory requirements in Cameroon, and support internal and external audits.
• Prepare and file VAT, corporate tax and withholding tax returns, coordinating with tax authorities and external consultants.

Required profile

• Strong background in financial accounting, reporting and statutory compliance.
• Experience with month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams including procurement, sales, IT and internal audit.
• Good analytical skills for budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
