Business Development Officer – Tech/SaaS

About the role

We are seeking experienced Business Development Officers to drive growth for technology companies in Cameroon, focusing on SaaS and digital solutions. The role involves identifying new opportunities, engaging decision‑makers, and guiding prospects toward commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, LinkedIn, calls, and other channels.
• Research potential SME clients that can benefit from technology solutions.
• Initiate conversations with CEOs, founders, managers, and other decision‑makers.
• Understand client needs and present relevant technology solutions.
• Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to negotiation and closing.
• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and business discussions with prospects.
• Follow up consistently with prospects and maintain strong client relationships.
• Meet agreed business development and revenue targets while maintaining accurate records.

Required profile

• 2–3+ years of experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, Technology or SaaS sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, Sales, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong understanding of B2B sales and lead generation.
• Ability to identify and engage business decision‑makers.
• Bilingual in English and French.
• Self‑driven, target‑oriented, and able to work independently.
• Previous experience selling software, SaaS, fintech, digital products, or IT solutions is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Experience using prospecting platforms such as LinkedIn.
