Director of Real Estate Projects and Maintenance

About the role

The Director of Real Estate Projects and Maintenance will lead the planning, execution and delivery of construction and maintenance programmes across Cameroon. This senior position ensures that all projects meet quality, safety, budget and regulatory standards while maintaining the reliability of building assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies, design coordination, tender management and contractor selection for construction projects.
• Oversee site execution, multidisciplinary teams, schedules and hand‑over of works.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies for buildings, utilities, HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, generators and fire‑safety equipment.
• Manage maintenance contracts, supervise external service providers and coordinate emergency repairs and major renovations.
• Prepare and control CAPEX and OPEX budgets, validate progress, monitor costs and report financially and technically to management.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, urban planning, fire safety, environmental and QHSE regulations.
• Drive risk management, oversee project documentation, warranty obligations and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Minimum Bac +3 degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Public Works or Architecture with strong project‑management component.
• At least 10 years of proven experience managing construction projects and maintenance programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and manage complex budgets.
