Document Analyst – Remote (Worldwide)

About the role

The Document Analyst will work remotely to review, verify, and analyse a wide range of documents – from government IDs to financial statements – ensuring their accuracy, authenticity and regulatory compliance. You will support operational integrity by spotting discrepancies, detecting sophisticated fraud, and providing high‑quality data for machine‑learning models.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and validate data extracted from diverse documents (IDs, proof of address, contracts, medical forms, etc.).
• Identify advanced fraud techniques such as photoshopped IDs, counterfeit documents and deep‑fake attempts using forensic analysis.
• Handle edge cases involving damaged, non‑standard, or foreign‑jurisdiction documents.
• Collaborate with policy and product teams to create and refine annotation guidelines.
• Provide structured feedback to ML engineers on model performance and contribute to “golden datasets”.
• Perform quality checks on annotations and ensure high inter‑annotator agreement.
• Maintain compliance with KYC, AML, GDPR, eIDAS and other global regulations.
• Suggest workflow improvements and tooling enhancements to reduce manual effort.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in document analysis, identity verification, KYC/AML operations or data extraction.
• Deep knowledge of global identity, financial and legal documents.
• Proven ability to detect sophisticated document fraud and biometric discrepancies.
• Familiarity with KYC/AML frameworks and data‑privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
