Finance Officer – Connect to Work Programme

About the role
The Finance Officer will support the Connect to Work Programme, ensuring it stays within budget and complies with all financial regulations. Working closely with the Department for Work and Pensions, service coordinators, partner organisations and internal leads, you will help deliver a high‑impact public service for Cumbria.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements for the programme.
- Monitor budget performance and flag variances.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and DWP funding rules.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Liaise with partner organisations to reconcile financial data.
- Produce regular financial reports for senior management.
