About the role
We are seeking a highly qualified Non-Key Expert – Gender Equality & Social Inclusion Specialist to support the systematic integration of gender equality and social inclusion considerations across programme activities, ensuring inclusive participation, gender‑responsive implementation and equitable access to opportunities generated through Africa‑EU space cooperation.
Required profile
- Master's degree in gender studies, social sciences, development studies or a related field.
- Excellent command of English.
- Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese (asset).
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in gender equality, social inclusion or inclusive development in international cooperation.
- At least 4 years of experience designing and applying gender‑responsive approaches in donor‑funded programmes.
Required skills
- Conducting gender analysis and developing sex‑disaggregated indicators.
- Facilitating inclusive stakeholder participation.
- Designing and delivering gender‑responsive training and communication.
- Familiarity with EU external‑action gender policy.
- Experience working in Africa (asset).
