HGV Class 1 Night Trunk Driver

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Class 1 C+E Night Trunk Driver to join our dedicated night team. You will be responsible for overnight trunking of a double‑deck trailer, moving freight from our Welshpool depot to the national hub in Coalville, Leicestershire.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a double‑deck trailer on night routes, delivering varied freight types.
• Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure legal compliance and safety.
• Unload and reload cargo safely at the Coalville hub and return to Welshpool.
• Adhere to a rotating schedule, typically starting between 17:30‑22:00 and finishing between 00:30‑06:30, Monday‑Friday.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months holding an HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Age 25 or over for insurance purposes.
• Valid, up‑to‑date Driver CPC.
• Reliable, responsible and compliant with all duties.
• Team‑player able to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• Driver CPC certification.
• Experience or training in double‑deck trailer operation.
