International WASH Facility Improvement Consultant (Remote)

About the role

UNICEF Cameroon is seeking an International Consultant to support the improvement of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) facilities in health care settings. The consultant will work remotely from 1 – 30 August 2026, providing technical guidance to strengthen national WASH monitoring systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the UNICEF Cameroon Country Office in advising government counterparts on WASH monitoring in health facilities.
• Integrate and operationalise WASH FIT indicators within national data collection and reporting tools.
• Develop quality‑assurance mechanisms and evidence‑based monitoring processes to enhance service delivery and accountability.
• Design and adapt a Cameroon‑specific WASH FIT training package in collaboration with local stakeholders.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in WASH implementation and monitoring, preferably in health‑care environments.
• Familiarity with national‑level coordination and capacity‑building activities.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results within a short, one‑month timeframe.
