About the role

The IP/MPLS & Network Security Specialist will provide expert technical leadership for IP networking, data communication and security within a telecommunications environment. The role involves designing, implementing, operating and optimizing complex network and security solutions across data centers and access networks.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain IP/MPLS networks, routing protocols (BGP, IS‑IS, OSPF, etc.) and IPv4/IPv6 addressing.
  • Configure, manage and troubleshoot security platforms such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Huawei firewalls, F5 load balancers, Arbor anti‑DDoS, Cisco ISE and TACACS.
  • Support multi‑service data‑center inter‑connection, capacity planning and network resilience improvements.
  • Monitor network performance, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement optimisation measures.
  • Integrate IP networks with transmission technologies (SDH, PDH, DWDM, GPON) and access technologies (Wi‑Fi, LTE, 5G, WiMAX).

Required profile

  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating and designing data communication networks in a telecom environment.
  • At least 4 years of hands‑on experience with network security solutions (firewalls, load balancers, anti‑DDoS, ISE/TACACS).
  • Proven experience in multi‑service data‑center networking and multi‑access network design.
  • Strong knowledge of IPv6, SRv6 and GSM/4G/5G technologies.

Required skills

  • IP/MPLS architecture, BGP, IS‑IS, OSPF, IGRP, RIP, eBGP/iBGP.
  • Switching technologies: STP, VLAN, VXLAN, MTU.
  • QoS (DSCP, ToS), multicast, IPv4/IPv6 planning, DNS64, NAT64, DHCPv6, SRv6.
  • Security platforms: Fortinet, Palo Alto, Huawei firewalls, F5, Arbor, Cisco ISE, TACACS.
  • Vendor solutions: Cisco, Juniper, Check Point, Allot Communications.
  • Access and transport: Wi‑Fi, WiMAX, WTTx, P2P, P2MP, LTE, 2G/3G/4G/5G, SDH, PDH, DWDM, GPON, SD‑WAN.
