Logistics Specialist – Transportation & Trade Compliance

About the role

Join Baker Hughes' International Logistics team as a Logistics Specialist. You will manage transportation, import/export transactions and trade‑compliance activities for our oilfield services and equipment business, ensuring customers receive reliable and efficient service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain integrity and ethics in all dealings with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Lead resolution of significant logistical disputes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Act as liaison between Operations, Customers, and Government on logistical matters.
• Ensure compliance with Baker Hughes Global Logistics & Trade Compliance policies and strategic requirements.
• Manage all Baker Hughes import and export transactions, including reviewing freight forwarder invoices for compliance.
• Update and maintain shipping instructions with approved freight forwarders and export hubs.
• Liaise with freight forwarders to improve lead times and cost structures while maintaining compliance.
• Produce weekly track‑and‑trace reports for all import and export activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum 4 years of logistics experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to work public holidays, weekends, after‑hours and travel to other Baker Hughes locations as needed.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems and propose solutions.
