Maintenance Technician Internship

About the role

SLB is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician Intern to support the maintenance, testing, and preparation of field equipment in its Douala facilities. This internship offers hands‑on experience with mechanical, electrical and electronic systems, helping you develop practical skills in equipment handling, diagnostics and preventive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in assembling, testing, maintaining and repairing tools and equipment.
• Perform basic inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Support inventory tracking and equipment documentation.
• Ensure tools and equipment meet operational and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Follow all safety rules and standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Technical certificate or diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Solid hands‑on background in electronics and mechanical systems.
• Strong commitment to QHSE standards.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Self‑motivated, able to use initiative and pursue continuous improvement.
• Ability to follow procedures and interpret engineering/electrical drawings.
