Operations Officer (P5) – Visa Application Processing

About the role

The Operations Officer (P5) will manage the end‑to‑end visa application process, ensuring accurate data entry, timely service delivery and strict compliance with internal procedures and anti‑bribery standards.

Key responsibilities

• Scrutinize, collect and record visa application documents in the system with zero errors.
• Maintain application data accuracy and meet defined Turn Around Times.
• Respond to applicant queries in‑person, by email and telephone, promoting value‑added services.
• Handle cash and bank transactions following established procedures.
• Coordinate passport delivery logistics to consulates, applicants and logistics partners.
• Uphold standard operating procedures, manuals and compliance requirements.
• Support the Deputy Manager/Operations Manager on World Bank‑related projects.
• Promote sustainable resource use and adhere to environment, health and safety policies.
• Follow the Anti‑Bribery Management System (ABMS) guidelines and uphold ethical standards.

Required profile

• Experience in operations, administrative or visa‑processing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for handling applicant inquiries.
• Understanding of compliance, cash handling and anti‑bribery policies.
