Private Sector Engagement Expert

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Private Sector Engagement Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP Boost). The role focuses on strengthening private‑sector participation, business development, innovation, investment and commercial opportunities across African and European space ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement activities that increase private‑sector involvement in the space, geospatial and technology sectors.
• Conduct market and value‑chain analyses to identify business opportunities and investment gaps.
• Provide business support, matchmaking and commercialization services for companies, entrepreneurs and investors.
• Facilitate access to finance and promote innovation partnerships between African and European stakeholders.
• Contribute to policy dialogue, knowledge exchange and institutional partnerships that enhance sustainable space ecosystems.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, engineering, innovation management or a related field (or four additional years of relevant experience).
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in private‑sector development, industrial cooperation, innovation, business development or investment facilitation.
• At least 4 years of experience engaging companies, entrepreneurs or investors, including market analysis, business support, matchmaking, commercialization and finance access.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
• Experience in the space, geospatial or technology sector, particularly in Africa, is highly relevant.
