Resource Mobilization Officer (Temporary, 364 days)

About the role

UNICEF Cameroon is seeking a Resource Mobilization Officer on a temporary 364‑day appointment to support the implementation of its new Resource Mobilization Strategy. The role will focus on building strategic partnerships, coordinating proposals, and mobilizing resources from private sector, foundations, and individual donors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and analysing donor policies and funding opportunities.
• Develop and support strategies to raise locally available funds.
• Coordinate and track contributions, ensuring donor requirements are met.
• Maintain and update funding charts for programme areas.
• Build and sustain trusted relationships with donors, including the NatCom network.
• Consolidate internal reporting, situation updates, and project proposals.
• Conduct quality checks of donor reports for compliance with proposals and results‑based management.
• Strengthen section staff capacity on donor outreach strategies.
• Ensure coherence between upstream and downstream partnership agreements.
• Provide donors with information on UNICEF Cameroon operations and financial needs.

Required profile

• Experience in donor relations, resource mobilisation, or fundraising within an international or humanitarian context.
• Ability to analyse donor policies and funding trends.
• Strong coordination and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
