Senior Associate – Strategy& – Consumer Markets

About the role

PwC’s Strategy& is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Consumer Markets team. The role focuses on retail, FMCG, e‑commerce and distribution sectors across Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, delivering strategic and commercial solutions for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support workstreams in strategy, market entry, growth, operating model, sales effectiveness, pricing and performance improvement for consumer‑facing clients.
• Apply industry knowledge to develop actionable recommendations and conduct market, competitor, channel, product and profitability analyses.
• Structure ambiguous problems, formulate hypotheses, and produce client‑ready PowerPoint deliverables.
• Collect data, conduct interviews, facilitate workshops and co‑create solutions with client teams.
• Collaborate with PwC and Strategy& experts across territories to incorporate benchmarks and best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Consumer Markets (retail, FMCG, e‑commerce, distribution) from a multinational, regional leader or consulting firm.
• Strong commercial acumen and practical understanding of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan markets.
• Ability to structure complex problems, develop hypotheses and translate insights into clear strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
