Senior Supply Chain Advisor – LEAP Global (Cameroon)

About the role

The Senior Supply Chain Advisor will be embedded within Cameroon’s Ministry of Health as part of the U.S. Department of State’s LEAP Global program. Reporting to the DOS Foreign Assistance team, the advisor will provide long‑term technical assistance to strengthen national infectious‑disease supply chains and improve coordination between U.S. agencies and the host government.

Key responsibilities

• Embed technical expertise within national health programs to enhance supply‑chain logistics, warehousing, and distribution of essential medicines.
• Support the design and implementation of integrated supply‑chain governance, strategic planning, and coordination mechanisms at national, regional, and local levels.
• Lead workforce development initiatives and mentor local staff on best practices in logistics and inventory management.
• Oversee LMIS/eLMIS implementation, ensuring accurate stock data and timely reporting for decision‑making.
• Facilitate health‑financing and policy‑advancement activities that sustain supply‑chain improvements.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in health‑sector supply‑chain management.
• Proven ability to work within government environments and international development projects.
• Strong analytical, coordination and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Willingness to reside in Cameroon for the duration of the assignment.
