Social Media Specialist Internship

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Social Media Specialist to join Ruula’s team in Douala on a paid internship. You will support the creation and distribution of multimedia content that promotes our entertainment and educational catalog across major digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Produce engaging scripts, graphics, captions, audio and short‑form videos for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.
• Schedule and publish posts, manage account information, and grow our online community.
• Configure and run targeted advertising campaigns to meet sales objectives.
• Monitor comments and messages, fostering positive relationships with the audience.
• Maintain brand voice, tone and visual identity across all channels.
• Track local trends and competitor activity to suggest new content ideas.
• Collect and analyse performance data to evaluate against KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism or related field.
• Fluent in English and French.
• At least one year of experience in brand‑building projects.
• Self‑motivated, quick learner with strong multitasking abilities.
• Empathetic, communicative and able to work under limited supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with design tools such as Canva or Photoshop.
• Experience using AI‑based content creation tools.
