Technical Officer – Clinical Service Improvement & Science

About the role

The Technical Officer, Clinical Service Improvement and Science (TO‑CSIS) will work in the Program Department under the Director of Public Health Evaluation to advance EGPAF’s goal of improving clinical services for HIV prevention, care and treatment in women, children and families, with the aim of eliminating pediatric HIV.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement evaluation protocols and improvement‑science concept notes for HIV programs in Cameroon.
• Design, pilot, and revise data collection tools, SOPs and study documents, and oversee data collection, cleaning and storage.
• Supervise and train evaluation staff and clinical personnel, providing mentorship and capacity‑building.
• Coordinate with district technical advisors, health facility managers and the Cameroon Ministry of Health to ensure smooth project implementation.
• Analyze evaluation data, prepare manuscripts and abstracts, and disseminate findings through international journals and conferences.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree in Medicine, pharmacy, dentistry or an equivalent field.
• Master’s degree in Public Health or Epidemiology.
• Minimum three years of experience in research implementation, public health evaluation, HIV clinical service improvement or implementation science.
• At least one first‑author manuscript in a scientific journal (preferred).
