Business Development Manager – Cameroon (Blockchain)

About the role

Mamoru is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead its blockchain‑focused financial services in Cameroon. The role combines market entry, partnership building, and regulatory navigation to expand cross‑border payments and digital asset solutions across the CEMAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Support incorporation of the local entity, open bank accounts and register with regulators (COBAC, BEAC).
• Onboard FX brokers, blockchain exchanges and payment service providers.
• Grow FX and blockchain payments business by targeting HNWI, merchants, diaspora channels, fintech users and institutional clients.
• Act as the local face of the company, managing strategic partnerships with banks, mobile‑money operators and blockchain agents.
• Monitor regulatory developments and provide risk and opportunity insights.
• Coordinate with global compliance, legal and finance teams to ensure alignment.
• Serve as nominee director and oversee corporate administration, filings and reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking, FX, blockchain or fintech.
• Deep knowledge of Cameroon's financial regulations (COBAC/BEAC) and regional trade.
• Proven success launching new products or markets and strong negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English and French with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self‑starter comfortable in a startup environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong project‑management abilities and attention to detail.
