About the role
The Business Development Manager will design and execute the company’s outbound sales and business development strategy across assigned markets. This role oversees commercial operations, including sales, distribution, route‑to‑market execution, promotional activities, customer development, and team management to drive sustainable growth and market expansion.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all sales and marketing activities across territories, driving product promotion, sales growth and market penetration.
- Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies aligned with company objectives, monitoring market trends and competitor activity.
- Manage product promotional campaigns, recruit promoters, and ensure strong product visibility and availability.
- Build and maintain a coordinated sales network of distributors, wholesalers, retailers, motorbike vendors, commercial sales representatives and field inspectors.
- Expand distribution network, define route‑to‑consumer strategies and ensure efficient territory coverage.
- Identify new clients and market opportunities, set sales targets for distributors and monitor performance.
- Supervise the sales team, conduct regular reviews, set SMART objectives and KPIs, and prepare performance reports.
- Participate in S&OP processes, prepare monthly sales forecasts and demand plans, and support achievement of the Annual Operating Plan.
