Commercial Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Commercial Manager to support the Agency Manager in a banking environment. The role involves managing a portfolio of merchants and economic operators, driving business development, and overseeing credit analysis and follow‑up to meet agency objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze credit requests and negotiate credit terms with clients.
• Prepare and submit credit files, monitor their progress, and ensure timely recovery of granted credits.
• Identify credit risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Assist the Agency Manager with commercial animation, prospecting new clients, and managing Small Business channels.
• Track commercial targets, organize performance reviews, and act as backup for the Agency Manager when absent.
• Support agency opening/closing procedures and execute any additional tasks assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration or Commercial Management.
• At least 3 years of experience in the banking sector.
• Strong sense of responsibility, proactive attitude, and excellent negotiation skills.
• Team player with high discipline, organization, and commitment.
• Must be based in Maroua and fluent in the local language (Foulfouldé).

What we offer

• Approximate salary of 150,000 XAF per month.
