Human Resource Intern – Yaounde

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Cameroon is seeking a motivated Human Resource Intern to support the HR Unit in its daily operations. This internship offers practical exposure to recruitment, personnel file management, and HR data reporting within a multicultural UN environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment processes, including posting vacancies, coordinating interview logistics, and communicating with candidates.
• Maintain and update recruitment trackers and other HR monitoring tools.
• Document and file all recruitment stages to ensure traceability and compliance.
• Support the organization and maintenance of both physical and electronic personnel files.
• Help design and update HR dashboards and monitoring tools for better data management.
• Prepare HR administrative documents such as contracts, letters, and internal correspondence.
• Track staff attendance, leave, and non‑staff administrative records where applicable.
• Facilitate onboarding for new staff and interns, including preparation of documentation and orientation materials.
• Provide general administrative and clerical support to the HR Unit and ensure proper archiving of HR files.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or final‑year student (or graduate within the last 12 months) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Social Sciences or related fields.
• Previous internship or academic exposure to HR or administrative tasks is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
