Maintenance Mechanic 3 – 2nd Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 3 to join our 2nd shift team (Mon‑Thurs, 3:00 pm‑1:00 am) on Linden Road. The role focuses on installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing equipment that supports our high‑quality biopharma packaging lines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and non‑routine adjustments on packaging lines to ensure product quality.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning and production to keep lines running efficiently.
• Execute preventive maintenance, changeovers, repairs and running adjustments.
• Drive OEE improvements by focusing on rate, yield and utilization.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to carry out required services.
• Escalate any downtime promptly to the supervisor.
• Adhere to PCI, cGMP and GCP policies and wear required PPE, including PAPR when needed.

• Strong analytical ability to gather information, identify root causes and develop corrective actions.
• Effective communication skills to influence and gain support ethically.
• Leadership aptitude to guide teammates, provide on‑the‑job training and support cross‑functional projects.
• Reliability and attendance, with flexibility for overtime or weekend work.

Required skills

• Equipment troubleshooting and repair.
• Preventive maintenance procedures.
• Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) changeover techniques.
• OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) analysis.
• Interpretation of equipment manuals and work orders.
• Knowledge of cGMP and GCP compliance.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).
