Project Assistant – Assisted Returns

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is recruiting a Project Assistant to support the Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) unit in Cameroon. The role focuses on providing airport assistance to returning migrants and coordinating reception and reintegration activities in line with programme objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site assistance at airports for migrants preparing to embark on return journeys.
• Carry out pre‑embarkation activities, including documentation checks and briefings.
• Support the coordination of reception processes upon arrival in the country of origin.
• Assist in the implementation of reintegration support measures as defined by the project.
• Collaborate with the National Reintegration Officer, the Project Associate (Assisted Returns), and relevant IOM units to ensure programme compliance.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the supervision of the National Reintegration Officer and the Project Associate.
