Education in Emergencies Assistant

About the role

Plan International is seeking an Education in Emergencies Assistant to support the design, implementation and monitoring of education and child‑protection programmes for displaced populations in Mora, Cameroon. Working under the Project Coordinator, the assistant will contribute to needs assessments, data collection and the preparation of concept notes, proposals and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and capacity‑building advice for education‑in‑emergencies activities, including implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
• Support the conduct of specific and general needs assessments and contribute to related reporting.
• Collect and analyse data to inform concept papers, project proposals and budgeting for education and child‑protection interventions.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation and ensure compliance with organisational standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences or a related discipline.
• Minimum two years of professional experience designing and implementing integrated education and child‑protection projects.
• Experience working in emergency contexts, particularly with internally displaced populations, is an asset.
• Formal training or qualification in project management and administration.
• Strong analytical and planning abilities, with capacity to adapt to changing demands.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Project management and monitoring/evaluation competencies.
