Senior Commercial Director – Insurance (Bilingual)

About the role

We are seeking a senior bilingual Commercial Director to lead our insurance business development in Cameroon’s private market. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will shape and execute the commercial strategy while ensuring compliance with the CIMA Code.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the insurance commercial strategy to meet production targets.
• Develop and consolidate a portfolio of private‑sector corporate clients, including SMEs, mid‑caps, and key accounts.
• Lead, manage, and evaluate the performance of the commercial team.
• Negotiate non‑life, health, personal risk, and corporate risk contracts and oversee debt‑collection processes.
• Monitor CIMA regulatory developments and provide regular reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Commerce, Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance or a related field.
• At least 10 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in non‑life/health insurance sales to the private sector in Cameroon.
• Proven experience in a CIMA‑licensed insurance company.
• Deep knowledge of the CIMA Code and of non‑life, health, motor, and corporate risk products.
• Fully bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.
