Business Developer (FinTech & Payments)

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic, results‑oriented Business Developer to join a growing organization in Yaoundé. The role focuses on creating new business opportunities, acquiring partners, and driving commercial growth within the finance sector, especially FinTech and digital payments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and acquire new merchants, clients, and business partners.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
• Follow up on partnerships to ensure continued engagement.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to market expansion.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Conduct field visits and commercial activities as required.
• Monitor client and partner needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Contribute to product and service improvement through client and market feedback.
• Prepare regular reports on business development activities and results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or a related commercial role.
• Professional experience in the finance sector is required.
• Experience in FinTech, digital payments, banking, or financial services is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of sales, business development, and client acquisition.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English and French.
• Ability to work independently, with strong autonomy, tenacity, and results orientation.
• Willingness to travel for field activities within Yaoundé.
