Business Development Specialist – FinTech (Bilingual ENG/FRE)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, results‑oriented Business Development Specialist to join a growing fintech organization in Yaoundé. The role focuses on creating new business opportunities, acquiring and managing partners, and driving commercial growth within the finance and digital payments sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and acquire new merchants, clients, and business partners.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
• Follow up on partnerships to ensure continued engagement.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to market expansion.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Conduct field visits and commercial activities as required.
• Monitor client and partner needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Contribute to product and service improvement through client and market feedback.
• Prepare regular reports on business development activities and results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in business development, sales or a related commercial role.
• Professional experience in the finance sector; FinTech, digital payments or banking experience strongly preferred.
• Strong negotiation, partnership development and client acquisition abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English and French.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and travel for field activities within Yaoundé.
