About the role

The Chief Information Officer will lead MTN Cameroon’s digital transformation agenda, positioning the technology team as an industry leader. This senior executive role focuses on driving innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth while building a high‑performing, multidisciplinary workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage digital transformation to enhance MTN Cameroon’s technology capabilities and market position.
• Drive innovation and operational excellence across Fintech, Digital Services, Enterprise Business, and internal operations.
• Build and motivate a multidisciplinary workforce capable of seamless cross‑functional collaboration.
• Extract value from existing assets through enterprise‑wide business optimisation projects, contract review, negotiation, and budget efficiency initiatives.
• Manage relationships with a diverse supplier base, ensuring strategic partnerships and contract renegotiations.
• Navigate macro‑economic challenges, regulatory compliance, and infrastructure constraints to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in IT or digital transformation, preferably within the telecom sector.
• Strong track record of managing complex, multi‑disciplinary teams and large‑scale technology projects.
• Ability to operate in dynamic macro‑economic and regulatory environments.
• Experience with vendor management, contract negotiations, and budget optimisation.
