Wireless Engineer – RAN Deployment and Optimization

About the role
The Wireless Engineer supports the deployment, integration, maintenance, troubleshooting and optimization of wireless telecommunications networks, ensuring availability, performance, coverage and service quality in line with technical standards and customer requirements. The role covers network configuration, KPI analysis, fault resolution and support for network expansion and modernization projects.
Key responsibilities
- Support deployment, installation, commissioning and integration of wireless network equipment
- Configure wireless networks, troubleshoot faults and diagnose and resolve issues
- Monitor network performance and optimize coverage, capacity and quality of service
- Support RAN activities for 2G, 3G, 4G LTE and 5G as required by projects
- Carry out site integration, acceptance testing and performance verification
- Analyze KPIs and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate with field engineers, project managers, subcontractors and customers
- Prepare technical reports, site documentation, progress updates and troubleshooting records
- Follow deployment standards, procedures, quality requirements and health and safety guidelines
- Support network modernization, expansion and upgrade projects
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in wireless telecommunications, RAN deployment, integration, maintenance or optimization
- Hands-on experience with Nokia wireless/RAN equipment strongly preferred
- Ability to work on-site and travel to project locations
Required skills
- Mobile network architecture and radio access technologies
- Network troubleshooting, KPI analysis and performance optimization
- Site deployment, commissioning, acceptance testing and technical documentation
- Preferred: experience with telecom operator projects, multi-vendor environments, 4G LTE and 5G deployment, and vendor certifications or training
