Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Operations Leadership

About the role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will steer end‑to‑end operations, focusing on supplier management, sales operations, and distribution. Reporting to the CEO, the COO ensures seamless coordination across procurement, sales channels, and logistics to drive revenue growth, service excellence, and scalable processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure performance and continuity of supply.
• Oversee sales operations, set KPIs, monitor pipeline performance, and align sales strategy with operational capacity and inventory.
• Manage distribution networks, warehouses, and logistics partners to guarantee timely order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and cost‑effective delivery.
• Translate corporate strategy into executable operational plans, drive efficiency, productivity, and cost optimisation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost‑control initiatives, improving working capital through supply‑chain optimisation.
• Lead senior operational, sales, and supply‑chain teams, fostering a performance‑driven culture and managing key external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
• Proven experience as COO, Operations Director or senior operations leader within a multi‑business or holding‑company structure.
• Extensive background in generic medicine import, export and distribution, with strong knowledge of pharmaceutical supply‑chain and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑location, cross‑border operations.
