Finance Officer – Partnerships (Yaoundé, Cameroon)

About the role

The Finance Officer (Partnership) will support the Finance Department in managing the financial aspects of partnerships. You will work closely with implementing partners to strengthen financial management, ensure compliance with procedures and donor requirements, and provide support during audits and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify partner financial reports, supporting documentation, and payment requests for compliance.
• Process and monitor payments to implementing partners and ensure timely postings in Agresso.
• Support partnership agreement negotiations and monitor financial compliance during implementation.
• Conduct financial capacity‑building sessions and provide ongoing support to partners.
• Perform partner financial monitoring activities and contribute to risk assessments.
• Maintain proper filing, scanning, and archiving of financial documentation.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and follow up on payment issues with banks.
• Support audits, donor reporting, and financial reviews involving partners.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of partnership financial management tools and processes.
• Undertake any other finance‑related duties assigned by the Finance Coordinator or Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in finance, accounting, grants or partnership management within a humanitarian or development context.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with Cameroon tax, labor and financial regulations.
• Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a complex environment.
