Marketing and Communications Officer

About the role

CornHouse is seeking a motivated Marketing and Communications Officer to join its team in Bamenda, Cameroon. This volunteer‑engagement position offers a modest monthly stipend and is designed for recent graduates or early‑career professionals eager to build a career in agribusiness, communications, and social impact.

Key responsibilities

• Increase CornHouse’s visibility through targeted marketing campaigns and social media activity.
• Strengthen the brand by creating and sharing compelling content that showcases impact.
• Develop and execute communication strategies in collaboration with the Managing Director.
• Represent the organization at public events, conferences, and partnership meetings.
• Support the creation of graphics, newsletters, and other promotional materials as needed.

Required profile

• University degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Agribusiness, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Confidence in public speaking and relationship building.
• Creative, self‑driven, and able to take initiative.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Pidgin is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Experience using social media platforms for professional communication.
