Neurodevelopmental Lead – Specialist Children’s Services

About the role

This fixed‑term position offers an exciting opportunity to lead neurodevelopmental services for children and young people within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. You will work across CAMHS and community paediatrics, collaborating with health, education and social care partners to deliver holistic, person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi‑disciplinary neurodevelopmental team delivering specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention.
• Drive service development and operational delivery of neurodevelopmental pathways across CAMHS and paediatric services.
• Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to staff, ensuring high standards of care.
• Work collaboratively with health, education, social work and third‑sector partners to deliver integrated care.
• Support clinical governance activities, including quality improvement, audit, policy implementation and responding to feedback.
• Manage team performance, workforce planning and resource allocation.
• Contribute to service innovation, training delivery and evidence‑based practice development.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification with current professional registration as a Nurse, Allied Health Professional or Psychologist.
• Significant experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions within CAMHS or paediatric services.
• Proven leadership or management experience in a multi‑disciplinary healthcare setting.
