Pharmacy Technician – VA Healthcare System (Orlando, FL)

About the role

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Orlando VA Healthcare System across several VA clinic locations. The role provides hands‑on pharmacy services in a modern, federal healthcare environment serving U.S. Veterans.

Key responsibilities

• Process and fill prescriptions using pharmacy systems and automation.
• Support both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations.
• Maintain medication inventory and ensure proper storage conditions.
• Enter and manage patient prescription data accurately.
• Troubleshoot pharmacy equipment and escalate issues when necessary.

Required profile

• Active certification as a CPhT (PTCB) or ExCPT (NHA).
• 1–2 years recent pharmacy‑technician experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems, medications, and standard procedures.
• Ability to pass VA credentialing, background screening, and onboarding requirements.
• Willingness to travel between multiple VA clinic sites as needed.

Required skills

• CPhT certification (PTCB) or ExCPT certification (NHA).
• Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems.
• Medication inventory management.
• Prescription data entry and management.
