Project Officer (Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Officer to support its Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion Unit in Cameroon. Working under the Chief of Mission and the Head of Programmes, the officer will contribute to the design, implementation, and monitoring of project‑funded interventions that promote decent work, social protection, and inclusive migration pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support for activities related to labour migration, migration‑trade, skills development, and training.
• Coordinate with government counterparts, partners, and internal units to ensure effective project delivery.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, work plans, and reporting documents.
• Monitor project progress, collect data, and contribute to impact assessments.
• Support the integration of business‑human rights standards and migrant inclusion strategies into project activities.

Required profile

• Experience in project implementation within migration, labour mobility, or social inclusion contexts.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of French is advantageous.
