Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse and Sexual Harassment Officer

About the role

The PSEAH Officer will support IOM’s prevention and response efforts to sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment in Cameroon, providing technical oversight and victim‑centred management in line with IOM’s strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate PSEAH prevention and response activities at country level under the supervision of the Chief of Mission.
• Provide technical guidance, develop SOPs, risk assessments and training materials for staff and partners.
• Facilitate capacity‑building sessions and communication campaigns to promote behaviour change.
• Manage cases of sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment and gender‑based violence, ensuring confidentiality and victim‑centred support.
• Represent IOM in the inter‑agency PSEA network or task force and liaise with UN agencies, NGOs and government bodies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law, international relations, social sciences or related field with at least two years relevant experience, or a university degree with four years experience.
• Professional experience in sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment, child protection, gender‑based violence or humanitarian protection.
• Proven coordination experience within the UN system and with inter‑agency partners.
• Experience developing trainings, risk assessments, proposals and standard operating procedures.
• Fluency in English and French (oral and written); additional UN language is an advantage.
