Education Specialist (Temporary, 6 months)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an Education Specialist on a six‑month temporary appointment to support the design, implementation and monitoring of education programmes in Cameroon. Working under the guidance of the Chief, Education or the Education Manager, you will help improve learning outcomes for marginalized and disadvantaged children.

Key responsibilities

• Support programme development, planning and budgeting for education interventions.
• Manage and monitor the delivery of results, ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s results‑based‑management approach.
• Provide technical guidance and operational support throughout the programme cycle.
• Facilitate networking, partnership building and stakeholder engagement.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building activities.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in education, economics, psychology, sociology or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in programme planning, management or research in education.
• Fluency in French and intermediate proficiency in English.
