Hotel General Manager – Vibrant City, Cameroon

About the role

We are partnering with a leading hotel in one of Cameroon’s most vibrant cities to find an experienced Hotel General Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the property, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining financial stability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to meet revenue and profitability targets.
• Manage daily operations across all departments, upholding service quality standards.
• Create and monitor departmental budgets, controlling operational costs.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff while maintaining optimal staffing levels.
• Build strong relationships with guests and handle escalated complaints professionally.
• Analyse performance metrics and implement data‑driven improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director on property enhancements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hotel management experience in renowned international groups.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and managing P&L statements.
• Master’s degree in hospitality or business.
• Experience with brand standards and quality‑assurance programs.
• Certification from hospitality associations or management training programs.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
