Board Member (Nonprofit) – Remote Full‑time

About the role

UNIMAC Cameroon is seeking dedicated board members to provide strategic leadership for its mission of empowering women and girls across Cameroon. This full‑time remote position involves guiding the organization’s vision, governance, and long‑term impact.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in regular virtual board meetings and strategic planning sessions.
• Review organizational performance, budgets, and fundraising strategies.
• Contribute to policy development, program oversight, and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate closely with the executive team to align initiatives with UNIMAC’s mission.
• Champion stakeholder engagement, partnerships, and advocacy efforts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in nonprofit governance, community development, or gender‑equality initiatives.
• Strong commitment to women’s and girls’ empowerment.
• Ability to work effectively in remote, multicultural teams.
• Relevant academic background in social sciences, development studies, management, law, or equivalent professional experience.
