Business Development Manager – Bus Tickets

About the role

Yiino is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the growth of its bus ticket marketplace across Nigeria. You will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, managing key operator relationships, and driving revenue through strategic and tactical initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new market opportunities based on emerging trends, opportunities and threats.
• Own the supply plan for the designated region to meet business goals.
• Manage and maintain relationships with current and transient bus operators, staying updated on industry trends.
• Lead a supply team of Account Managers and Independent Sales Agents, ensuring smooth operations and new operator sign‑ups.
• Promote seller‑side products to increase operator participation on the Yiino marketplace.
• Resolve operator and customer issues ethically, improving Net Promoter Score (NPS) for the region.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to strengthen partnerships and drive market share growth.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in business development or sales, with 1‑3 years of team management.
• Strong key‑account management and negotiation abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
• Effective communication and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on numbers and performance metrics.
