Project Associate – Assisted Returns (G5)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Associate to support assisted voluntary return and reintegration activities in Douala, Cameroon. The role is central to the EU‑funded Migration Governance Enhancement project, which aims to strengthen national capacities for return, readmission and reintegration.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate pre‑departure family tracing and assessment activities carried out by Reintegration Assistants (G4).
• Ensure effective coordination of reception, orientation and reintegration support for returning migrants.
• Monitor compliance with IOM standards and project guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Chief of Mission, MHPSS Officer and National Reintegration Officer to align activities with programme objectives.
• Prepare regular reports on reintegration progress and challenges.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the supervision of senior mission staff and in collaboration with relevant units.
• Experience in coordinating humanitarian or migration‑related programmes is advantageous.
