Advanced Practice Occupational Therapist

About the role

An exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team at West Road, Irvine, delivering specialist occupational therapy for children and young people with complex needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert occupational therapy assessment and intervention for children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions within CAMHS.
• Manage a highly complex caseload, make timely clinical decisions and contribute to multidisciplinary diagnostic assessments.
• Provide clinical leadership, supervision and training to colleagues and partner agencies.
• Identify and manage clinical risk, support robust escalation processes and assist families.
• Lead service development through training, clinical audit, research and governance activities.

Required profile

• BSc in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) and current HCPC registration.
• Post‑graduate training in a relevant area.
• Essential UK driving licence.
• Experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions in a CAMHS setting.
