Neurodevelopmental Practitioner – Specialist Children’s Services

About the role

This temporary position supports neurodevelopmental assessment and intervention for children and young people within Specialist Children’s Services in the west of Glasgow. It is suitable for an Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist or Registered Nurse who wishes to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental assessments and interventions for children and young people.
• Provide post‑diagnostic support and consultancy across the wider Children’s Services team.
• Collaborate closely with CAMHS, Specialist Community Paediatrics and education partners.
• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care using evidence‑based practice.
• Share professional expertise to help develop and improve the service.

Required profile

• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or another relevant professional body.
• Qualified as an Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist or Registered Nurse.
• Experience of neurodevelopmental assessment, diagnosis and support strategies.
• Desirable experience of assessment and intervention for children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences.

• Fixed‑term contract for 6 months, part‑time (21.6 hours per week).
• Pro‑rata salary, paid monthly.
