Cash & Livelihoods Assistant – IRC Cameroon

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Cash and Livelihoods Assistant to join its Emergency Response Division (ERD) in Manyu Division, South West Region of Cameroon. The position plays a central role in delivering Multipurpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) and Income Generation Assistance (IGA) programmes that help displaced families meet basic needs and rebuild livelihoods. Based in the field office at Buea, the assistant will work closely with protection teams, local partners and community members to ensure timely and effective cash support.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Multipurpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) programmes in Manyu Division.
• Support Income Generation Assistance (IGA) and related livelihoods activities.
• Assist protection teams by processing referral cases for households identified for cash support.
• Maintain accurate records of cash distributions and monitor programme outcomes.
• Coordinate with IRC field bases in Maroua, Kousseri, Kumba and Bamenda to align activities.
• Ensure compliance with IRC cash management policies and reporting requirements.
