Country Programs Officer

About the role
The Country Programs Officer supports the implementation and monitoring of mission‑critical health and development activities in the field. Working under the supervision of the Country Director, the officer ensures program quality, compliance with donor requirements, and effective coordination with national stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Review and develop monitoring and evaluation systems to guarantee high‑quality program implementation and reporting.
- Provide guidance to program staff on grant, contract, and project execution.
- Track project progress, identify performance issues, and recommend adjustments.
- Respond to donor inquiries and prepare grant‑related documentation.
- Coordinate weekly meetings with national staff and support proposal development for institutional and private donors.
- Identify funding opportunities and arrange donor meetings for the Country Director.
- Maintain regular communication with the supervisor and interface with government agencies as needed.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in public health, international development, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in program design and evaluation, including at least one year in a developing‑country or resource‑constrained setting.
- Familiarity with humanitarian operations, donor mandates, and UN coordination structures.
- Strong cross‑cultural awareness and ability to motivate local staff.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
