International Consultant on WASH Facility Improvement Tool

About the role

UNICEF Cameroon is seeking an International Consultant to support the development and implementation of a WASH Facility Improvement Tool (WASH FIT) for health care facilities. The consultant will work remotely from 1 – 30 August 2026, providing technical guidance to strengthen national WASH monitoring systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to the UNICEF Cameroon Country Office and government counterparts on WASH monitoring in health care facilities.
• Adapt and develop the Cameroon-specific WASH FIT training package in collaboration with local partners.
• Support integration of WASH FIT indicators into existing data collection and reporting tools.
• Establish quality‑assurance mechanisms and evidence‑based monitoring processes.
• Deliver remote training sessions and capacity‑building activities for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in WASH, especially in health‑care facility settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government agencies and international donors.
• Strong analytical skills for monitoring, evaluation, and data quality assurance.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French is an asset.
