International Consultant – WASH Facility Improvement Tool (Remote, 1 month)

About the role

UNICEF Cameroon is seeking an International Consultant to support the development and implementation of the WASH Facility Improvement Tool (WASH FIT) for health‑care facilities. The assignment runs from 1 – 30 August 2026 and is fully remote, providing technical guidance to government counterparts and UNICEF staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on strengthening national WASH monitoring systems in health‑care facilities.
• Integrate and adapt WASH FIT indicators into existing data collection and reporting tools.
• Develop and deliver a Cameroon‑specific WASH FIT training package.
• Support quality‑assurance mechanisms and evidence‑based monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with UNICEF Cameroon Country Office and local partners to ensure alignment with national policies.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in public health, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience working on WASH in health‑care settings, preferably with government agencies.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to produce clear technical guidance documents.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French is an asset.
