Neurodevelopmental Lead – Specialist Children’s Services

About the role
This fixed‑term position offers a senior leadership opportunity within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to shape and deliver high‑quality neurodevelopmental services for children and young people. Working across CAMHS and community paediatrics, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with health, education and social care partners.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multi‑disciplinary neurodevelopmental team delivering specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children and young people.
- Drive service development and operational delivery of neurodevelopmental pathways across CAMHS and paediatric services.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to staff, ensuring high standards of care and professional practice.
- Collaborate with health, education, social work and third‑sector partners to deliver integrated, person‑centred care.
- Support clinical governance activities, including quality improvement, audit, policy implementation and responding to feedback.
- Manage team performance, workforce planning and resource allocation.
- Contribute to service innovation, training delivery and the development of evidence‑based practice.
Required profile
- Degree‑level qualification with current professional registration as a Nurse, Allied Health Professional or Psychologist.
- Significant experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions within CAMHS or paediatric services.
- Proven leadership or management experience in a multi‑disciplinary healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of neurodevelopmental pathways and related clinical practice.
